Labour’s new Councillor on Wicklow County Council, Barry Nevin, has called on the Government to lift the ban it has placed on local authorities spending hundreds of millions of Euro of development levies that are languishing in their accounts.
Cllr. Barry Nevin has hit out at the Government’s refusal to act to protect pensions and says it’s another example of the Government’s disregard for our Old Age Pensioners.
Labour Candidate, Barry Nevin, speaking at the launch of Labour’s Policy on “Planning the Future of Bray” said it was time to put an end to the antiquated and dehumanising practice of forcing the unemployed to queue in the street outside Social Welfare offices, calling it “an indignity that nobody should be subjected to”.
