'Media Diversity: Why does it matter?

Yesterday, Nessa Childers MEP held a conference entitled 'Media Diversity: Why does it matter?

During the day the many speakers explored the implications for traditional notions of democratic accountability and journalistic independence given the emergence and dominance of multi-national media corporations.
