Rejecting the jaded rhetoric of Fíanna Fail's dismal plans to get Ireland working, Nash said that speed which this Government has shown in introducing measures like the national internship scheme, successfully targeting VAT cuts at the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as the new Action Plan for Jobs, is proof that this Government is delivering.
Crucial to kick starting Ireland's economy, we need to identify profitable and sustainable industries, he said identifying the Arts sector as one of these new burgeoning industries. With two Irish productions up for awards at this year's Oscars, Ireland's arts and film industry continues to thrive. Nash predicts that with the right state help, the Irish film and audio-visual industry could see its numbers double.
