Cian O'Callaghan was elected to Fingal County Council for the first time in June 2009.

Since his election Cian has been appointed to represent the local community on:
- The Northside Partnership
- The County Heritage Forum
- The North Fringe Area Forum
- The Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee
- Howth Special Amenity Area Order Committee

Cian has a strong interest in sustainable planning and protecting our environment and local area from over development.
