Cllr. Conway Supports Skaters, BMX’ers and Roller bladders of Dungarvan in bid for a Local Skate Park!

Cllr. Conway stated ' I am delighted to lend my support to your campaign and advocate on your behalf to secure a skate park for the town of Dungarvan.'The matter was discussed at the February, 2010 Council Meeting and as I understand it the Town Clerk Mr. Joe Flaherty has given an undertaking to meet with officials in Wexford Co. to discuss how they went about designing and funding the construction of their skate park.'
I attended the skate and surf festival in Bundoran, Co. Donegal in June 2009 and saw first hand the commercial benefits for the town of Bundoran as well as the social and sporting dividends. I wish the Skaters, BMX’ers and Roller bladders well in their campaign and hope that the Dungarvan Skate Park will be delivered on by Dungarvan Town Council in the near future.
