- Campaigned continuously to county council and was successful in getting paths repaired in Moorepark and Village areas which were in a dangerous condition for elderly etc
- Set up 'Friends at Christmas in 2007' an organization that provides dinner, companionship and entertainment on Christmas day for those who are alone, lonely or just want an alternative Christmas day.
- Befriends people with disability for integration and inclusion in the community
- Visits those who are ill and in hospital from the community
- Rings those who live alone to check that they are ok
- Organized a Fundraiser for Friends of Naas Hospital
- Won a car in the credit union and gave it to a charitable organization for a raffle
