€30,000 for Clonmel Town Walls.

 Local Labour Cllr. Darren Ryan has welcomed the allocation of €30,000 from the Heritage Council to South Tipp County Councils heritage section.

This allocation is a follow on from funding that has been allocated in previous years. This allocation will be spent on enhancing the Old Clonmel Town Walls in the grounds of Old St. Marys Church in Mary St. Clonmel.

As members of the Irish Town Wall Network South Tipperary has been to the forefront in ensuring the restoration and retention of Town Walls in it's remit.
