Mayor Darren Ryan welcomes Boston Scientific announcement to Clonmel Plant

Mayor of Clonmel, Cllr. Darren Ryan has welcomed the announcement today by Boston Scientific that it is to invest €26 million in its Clonmel plant.
In welcoming the new, Mayor Ryan said “The investment in the research and development area is a significant boast to the town of Clonmel and its economy. Following last weeks announcement that 1,400 jobs internationally would be shed by the company, Mayor Ryan held discussions with senior management at the Clonmel Plant, during the discussions there was a lot of praise for the dedicated work force in the plant.”
“This committed is a boast of confidence for all associated with Boston Scientific, Clonmel and reflects the high regard the Clonmel Plant is held in by their International colleagues. The work force is Clonmel is highly qualified and dedicated and the announcement today is testimony to their work.”
“I want to thank Boston Scientific for their faith in the people of Clonmel with this investment and such an investment can only be a positive boast both Nationally and Internationally for the town, I also wish to acknowledge the work of the IDA, whom I am aware were heavily involved in securing the commitment from Boston. I have received an invitation to visit the Clonmel Plant and see at first hand the ongoing work that has brought about this announcement.”
