VOTE MICHAEL D HIGGINS FOR PRESIDENT ON OCTOBER 27TH

Cllr Darren Ryan has urged voters to give Michael D Higgins their No. 1 in the upcoming Presidential election.
“Michael D Higgins has given a lifetime of public service and his record stands strong behind him. He has been, and continues to be a strong and powerful voice that fights injustices in the world and he has been courageous in fighting to secure women’s rights, civil liberties and social justices.
“It is this fight for equality that is the backbone to Michael D’s presidential campaign. He has a vision of a real Republic, an inclusive citizenship where everyone participates equally.
“Creativity is also important to Michael D, not only in the arts, but also in terms of technology and business. As Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht he set up TG4 and helped to build the film industry into the booming €500m industry that we see today. If elected, he will continue to champion this creativity both at home and abroad.
“Michael D is a man of integrity and he has demonstrated this throughout his career. He has the experience, the leadership qualities and the passion required in the role of President. I am therefore urging people to give Michael D Higgins; the President who will do us proud, their No. 1 vote on October 27th.”
