Welcome to my web site. For those not familiar with my background, let me outline a few details about myself

I worked in the retail business for most of my adult working life in Drapery/ Paint Sales and have been a member of the S.I.P.T.U trade union.

Since my co-option to Cork city council in 2003 I have campaigned tirelessly to have a library put in place in the Black / Mahon area so the residents in the south east ward would have the same facilities as the rest of the city,
I'm delighted that this is now going to take place in the next few months. It will be located on the site of the abode centre next to St Michael's Cemetery on Skehard Road. As far as the Douglas pool is concerned this government has to make funding available to replace this out of date 30year old pool as schools and residents deserve better. I have particular concern about the number of off licences that are spring up all over the city I have objected on a regular basis to the planning dept on this issue as I feel some off licences create anti- social behaviour in our communities and can damage young people's health.
