The Labour Party in Meath is growing in strength and members, according to Senator Dominic Hannigan. He welcomed the launch this week of the party’s newest branch.

“I am thrilled by the level of support and interest that has been shown by members setting up the Bru na Boinne branch. They had their inaugural meeting in Daly’s of Donor on Tuesday evening with members from Duleek, Donore, Bellewstown, Slane and Ardcath attending.”

Senator Hannigan was among those at the meeting where well known local James Bell was elected chairperson.

“The Labour Party has gone from one councillor to four in the last local elections and we are determined to increase our Dail representation in the next general election,” said Hannigan.
