Public Notice of Proposed Salt Barn Facility at Old Lucan Road

Issued : Thursday 15 July, 2010

In the light of the Council's experience in gritting/icing roads during the very cold weather after in January 2010, the Council proposes to build a Salt Barn and storage for machinery , on a small piece of land off the N4, near the Fonthill junction and the Deadman's Inn. Below is a copy of a newspaper notice, announcing what is called a Part 8 process, which is effectively a mechanism involving public consultation, through which the Council seeks "planning permission" for projects such as minor road construction, infill council housing, etc..
