Approval to Sign Contract for New Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich Issues

Deputy Emmet Stagg has again questioned the Tanaiste and Minister for Education and Skills in relation to the awarding of the contract for the building of the permanent school for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich in Maynooth.
The Tanaiste has now advised Deputy Stagg that her Department recently authorised the Board of Management of the School to issue a letter of acceptance to the preferred bidder and to arrange for the contract to be signed.
Welcoming the news Deputy Stagg congratulated the teachers and parents at the school on their success. The pupils will now have a State of the Art modern 16 classroom building and hopefully the new school will be ready for the new school year in September 2011.

24th JUNE, 2010 - New Permanent School for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich A Step Closer
Deputy Emmet Stagg again raised with the Tanaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the position in relation to the awarding of the Contract for the building of the permanent school for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich in Maynooth, following the tender process.
The Tanaiste in response to Deputy Stagg stated that outstanding documentation was awaited from the preferred bidder chosen following the tender procedure and once received and assuming all was in order the contract can be awarded and the project will progress to construction.
Deputy Stagg stated that we are a step closer to seeing this project finally commencing which is good news for the pupils, parents and teachers of the school. The site for the new 16 classroom school has been in the ownership of the School Board of Management since December 2004 and is where the current temporary accommodation is located.
In conclusion Deputy Stagg looked forward to construction commencing on the project in the near future.

25th JANUARY, 2010 - Tenders to be sought for Permanent School for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich
Deputy Emmet Stagg questioned the Minister for Education in relation to the invitation of tenders for the Permanent School for Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich in Maynooth.
The Minister has advised Deputy Stagg that the Board of Management was recently authorised to proceed to tender for the new 16 Classroom School.
Deputy Stagg has welcomed this positive news for the pupils, parents and teachers of the School. The site for the New School has been in the ownership of the School Board of Management since December 2004 and is where the current temporary accommodation is located.
In conclusion Deputy Stagg congratulated the Board of Management of the School and looked forward to seeing the Project advance to fruition in the near future.
