Finbarr O'DriscollCllr Finbarr O'Driscoll

Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit my website. First of all let me tell you a bit about myself; I'm married to Doris with two sons one daughter; a Cobh native from Bishop street and Glavin tce. I was employed by Cobh town for over thirty years, working as a revenue collector, a housing officer and electoral register officer over the years. I was also a former player for Cobh GAA club and Cobh Ramblers F.C.

I have been involved in Trade Union movement, having been a member of IMPACT and have served as Vice President and President of IMPACT over the last few years. National executive of IMPACT Trade Union 1986-2002 National vice president of IMPACT Trade Union 2002/2007 President of IMPACT Trade Union 2007/2008 Represented IMPACT Trade Union at international level campaigning for worker friendly E.U. directives.

Key issues of concern to me include

The need to foster a strong liaison between Cobh town council Cobh tourism and chamber of commerce to establish a forum that will serve to re-energise Cobh
Reducing the council's lengthy waiting list to give a fair opportunity to all those who are in need of housing.

If there are any further issues that you would like to discuss, do not hesitate to contact me

regards

Finbarr
