LABOUR TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON DRAFT ARDEE LOCAL AREA PLAN

Labour Party Member of Louth County Council Gerald Nash and Ardee Town Councillor Leonard Hatrick are to hold a public meeting on the Draft Ardee Local Area Plan at the Ardee Day Care Centre at 8pm on Wednesday, 29th September.
Cllr. Nash said, “With an estimate of close to 30% of the workforce in Ardee on the Live Register, the focus of this Plan must be on creating the conditions to generate sustainable employment.
“The Ardee area is experiencing over double the national average of joblessness and this is having a dramatic impact on the local community and on local economic activity. The Local Area Plan for Ardee can form an important part of Ardee’s fight back.”
Cllr. Leonard Hatrick said, “The closing date for the receipt of submissions on the Draft Plan is the 13th October. I would encourage everyone with a stake in Ardee’s future to attend this meeting and to express their views to the Labour Party and importantly to Louth County Council on the Draft Plan.”
