St. John's Park Crossing a success
Issued : Thursday 2 February, 2012
Cllr. Jack Walsh, The Labour Party is getting positive feedback from residents regarding the new pedestrian crossing in St. John’s Park. Cllr Walsh said that all the Councillors for the area have been pushing to have this crossing provided. “This has improved safety for pedestrians accessing the Centra Shop or crossing to the Bus Stop” Cllr Walsh said. The new layout has also made it safer for traffic emerging from Pease Park onto the main road. “The issue has been constantly raised by residents who were concerned for the safety of older people and children” according to Cllr. Jack Walsh.
