 Update on Community Allotments

 One of the first motions that I brought to the Town Council was for the introduction of Community Allotments in order that local people with no access to land would have a chance to grow thier own food. The motion was unanimously passed however the allotments have not yet come in to place. Despite searching for suitable sites and meeting with varoius landowners we have not been able to secure a suitable location. However on a positive note an Allotment Scheme under the auspices of Rapid will soon be launched in the Clonmullion estate. This is a pilot scheme and if successful it will rolled out to other areas.
