Born and raised in the town and a teacher in Coláiste Muire, I am acutely aware of the challenges facing Cobh. Being in daily contact with young people, I have learned a huge amount about the needs of the next generation. With the future of the town in their hands, their needs will be central to the challenges facing future town councils.

Issues of immediate concern, such as the need for a local ambulance service, levels of hazardous waste on Haulbowline and the proposed waste incinerators in the harbour, will be central issues for me as a town councillor. I also plan to highlight other issues such as the problem of litter, the need for improved infrastructure, the further development of tourism and the future of our local fitness centre.

I will actively represent the interests of all the people of Cobh in relation to these important issues and I welcome any concerns or opinions you may have in relation to any local issues.
