I am a Labour Party T.D. for Dublin Mid West Constituency. Dublin Mid West stretches from the border of Lucan with Kildare to the border of Brittas with County Wicklow and includes within its boundaries Clondalkin, Palmerstown, Newcastle, Rathcoole and Saggart.I live in the constituency with my family in Lucan where I have lived for most of my life. I got involved in the Labour Party when I was still at school and I was involved in helping out in election campaigns right back to my childhood. I was elected a Labour county councillor in 1999 for the areas of Lucan, Palmerstown and Quarryvale. I ran in the General Election in 2002 and in the Seanad Campaign that followed. I served as a Labour Senator from 2002 to 2007 when I was elected to the Dail.I am part of the Labour Team in Dublin Mid West along with Robert Dowds T.D. and Labour’s 3 county councillors in the constituency, Cllr.
