In spite of promises by the Minister to deliver primary schools to the area, not even a planning application has been lodged.
"I keep looking at the weekly planning lists, hoping to see an application lodged for the long promised primary schools in Tyrrelstown. Again, this week we have been disappointed.
The promises made by Minister Lenihan in the run up to the last local election have been well and truly broken.
Two excellent primary schools have been operating for years in temporary and pre-fab premises.
The site is now in public ownership. The numbers are there to fill the schools. Why are local children and parents being let down?
