Cllr. Monica Harford has been Cathaoirleach Balbriggan Town Council three times since her election, in 1995/1996, in 2004/2005 and in 2006/2007.
Monica was co-opted on to Balbriggan Town Commission in December 1989 and re-elected in 1994, 1999, 2004 and in 2009

Monica campaigns for:

• Adequate Primary and Secondary Schools to suit the growing population of Balbriggan
  
• Sufficient medical care and home care services and facilities to provide for the elderly, the young, the disabled, and the less fortunate within our community
  
• Suitable accommodation for local young families who are on long waiting lists for housing
  
• Support for local business and traders who are providing welcome employment.
