fundraising race night

Dear Friends

My campaign for the 2009 local elections starts now as I set about raising the finance necessary to print posters, leaflets, campaign cards, buy advertising space etc. It will be an expensive exercise and unfortunately I don’t have a wealthy benefactor to help me out so I have no option but to ask for your assistance.

To be successful I need the backing of all of the members of the constituency. Please help in anyway you can and ask your friends, family and business associates for their support also.

I am running a race night on Saturday 20th September in Templeogue United Clubhouse @8pm and I would really appreciate it if you could come along on the night and bring some friends with you.

At the moment I am trying to sell the 10 races and 160 horses as well as looking for donations, advertisements and spot prizes. You can help me by asking some of your business and social contacts to contribute in the following way:

ØOffer a donation

ØSponsor a race for €200. This includes a full page advertisement in the race programme

ØBuy a horse @ €20 each in one of the races

ØTake out an advertisement in the race programme (€150 full page, €100 half page or €50 quarter page)

ØPart sponsor an advertisement in a local newspaper (€300)

ØSupply a spot prize for a raffle

ØMost important of all is your attendance on the night and please bring as many people as you can with you.

We are looking to take three seats in a 6 seat ward. I believe this is possible and I know Mick and Dermot feel the same. All three of us are willing to work relentlessly in the coming months to make the 2009 local elections a major success for the party; however, we will need the support of every one in every branch in the constituency to reach our goal.

I appeal to you to come out on the 20th September and help me to kick start my campaign. It is vital that we get a big turnout on the night to generate the momentum to drive us on through the next 10 months.

Please lend me your support, I promise I won’t let you down.

Yours sincerely,

Pamela Kearns
