Labour Candidate Rebecca Moynihan Launches Youtube Video To Highlight Hypocrisy Of The Greens
Issued : Thursday 30 October, 2008
During the 2007 general election the Green Party produced an emotional political party broadcast urging voters who cared about education to vote for the Green Party. Today they will vote against a Labour Party motion on class sizes.
Rebecca Moynihan, Labour candidate for the South West Inner City today launched a YouTube video to highlight the hypocrisy of the Greens on this issue. Speaking in advance of this launch, Rebecca stated: "just over a year in government buildings seems to have given the Green Party memory loss.
Where once they urged people to vote for the Greens if they valued education, today they are 'hanging tough' with Batt O'Keeffe on the issue of class sizes. They supported a budget which will increase class sizes at primary level, cut language teachers and target disadvantaged schools in areas like the South West Inner City.
The hypocrisy of the Green Party on this issue needs to be exposed to voters and I am using YouTube to do this."
