Litter in public areas of Lealand, Clondalkin
Issued : Tuesday 27 April, 2010
At a meeting of the Lucan-Clondalkin Area Committee on 27 April, I asked the Manager to arrange a clean-up in Lealand Estate, Clondalkin including the area and shrubbery beside the ESB box adjacent to the side of 57 Lealand Avenue. I also asked if the Manager would provide clean-up materials to the residents of Lealand Estate.
The reply was that the area had been inspected recently by the local Litter Warden. While the area was generally in good condition, there was a small amount of litter on the open space and in adjacent laneways. The Warden will liaise with the Parks Department and the Cleansing and Estate Management sections to arrange for removal of these items.
While there have been no requests for clean-up material from residents to the Warden in about two years, if residents make contact with the Warden they will be supplied with clean-up materials if resources permit.
