Local Labour T.D Róisín Shortall has secured assurances from Dublin City Council that resurfacing works for Santry Avenue will go ahead this summer.
Deputy Shortall said, 'I have received complaints from the public about the condition of the carriageway on Santry Avenue. I have seen for myself that it is badly pot-holed in areas and needs to be reinstated, particularly at the Santry end.'
'I recently wrote to Dublin City Council and requested that action be taken to address the problem.'
'Dublin City Council has assured me that their respective Road Maintenance sections are currently preparing contract documents for the reconstruction of some sections of Santry Lane and the resurfacing of a further larger section.'
'It is hoped that work will begin in August'
