Seanie who lives in Garryroan Cahir with his wife Margaret and their three children is totally committed to being a pro-active and grassroots public representative. During the past five years, Seanie has worked tirelessly to promote the interests of the Cahir Electoral Area. Constantly available to individuals and organizations, Seanie worked successfully on a vast range of issues including the retention of Cahir Post Office and Social Welfare Office.
Other successes include the erection of the Tincurry Children’s Famine Memorial stone, provision of defibrillators for local communities. Defibrillators have been placed in Cahir, Ballylooby, Clogheen, Ardfinnan, Burncourt and New Inn Also due to Seanie’s efforts a new bus shelter has been provided for Cahir. Seanie is particularly proud to have been instrumental in providing extra wheelchair bays throughout the town of Cahir
He also has been a very active fundraiser for local charities. As a father; husband and community activist Seanie is acutely aware of the tough times ordinary families are facing in recessionary times. Seanie pledges to strongly resist any attempts by the Government to downgrade local services.
