Kenny Welcomes Funding for the Sutton to Sandycove Cycleway “Missing Link”

Dublin North East Labour TD, and Oireachtas Transport Committee member, Seán Kenny, today welcomed the provision of €300,000 funding by the Department of Transport, through the National Transport Authority to Dublin City Council for the design and commencement of the construction of the S2S cycleway "missing link" between Bull Wall Road and Causeway Road (in Raheny ) along the northern section of the S2S (Sutton to Sandycove) cycle and walking route.
“The funding for this important phase of the S2S Cycleway was stalled for several years. I’m glad that despite the current economic difficulties government funding has been now found to commence the works”.
“The completion of the S2S cycleway will enhance the amenity of Dublin Bay for the citizens and as a tourist amenity for visitors to Dublin” he concluded.
