Cllr Tom Cashman
My name is Tom Cashman. I am an elected representative on Midleton Town Council. It was my lifelong friend and former Labour TD the late Joe Sherlock who first sparked my interest in politics. I spent many hours travelling the length and breath of East Cork with Joe as he met with his constituents.I am proud to continue this tradition working for you with his son Seán Sherlock TD.
Times may have changed but key issues such as the need for improved infrastructure, transport and local amenities remain the same. I have seen first hand how the lack of proper traffic management can affect a residential community. That is why I became Chairman of Brookdale Residents Association.
I am aware of the problems that many people face and am committed to contributing and working hard toward the continued development of our community.
I make only one pledge to the community and that is to represent you at local level to the best of my ability.
My local priority issues include:
• Traffic calming measures across all new estates
• Improved Public Services – roads, footpaths, street lighting
• Ensuring developers complete unfinished housing estates to a safe and decent level
If there are any other issues that you would like to discuss with me, do not hesitate to contact me.
regards
Tom
