Cllr Tom Costello
Cllr. Tom Costello is known as one of the most experienced and hardworking members of Galway City Council. Married to Kathleen, with three children, Tom knows only too well the challenges facing families and our community in these challenging times.
Tom has campaigned side-by-side with the community on a range of issues for over 18 years. He is passionately committed to education and is a member of the Board of Management of Móinin na gCiseach Community College, Coláiste na Coiribe and is also a member of the City of Galway VEC.
Tom’s priorities include
• The development of an integrated transport system for Galway City and region, with a transport hub at Ceannt Station.
• The development of bus corridors and improved cycle and pedestrian access in the city.
• Support the roll out of social and affordable housing to meet the housing crisis in Galway City.
• Campaign for continued improvements in education, especially at primary and secondary level.
• The provision of a neighbourhood centre and other community facilities at Ballinfoyle.
• Continued support for the Terryland Forest Park Group.
