My commitment to the public good of Wicklow people has been central to my roles as both Chairman of Wicklow County Council and Wicklow Tourism. I am equally committed now to make a difference for YOU at a national level. I have been a labour party County Councillor since 2004.
We have great potential as a County and a Country, we need Public Representatives who can help fulfil that potential. The days of policies based on greed and personal gain will end with your help. NOW we have an opportunity to elect people with a fresh honest approach and strategies to turn this around
With my experience and professional business background I believe that I have the skill-set to help the Labour Government Coalition make this happen. Although first elected to Wicklow County Council in 2004, I recently became Chairperson of Wicklow County Council in addition to my role as Chairman of Wicklow County Tourism. These commitments and responsibilities have seen my time is fully taken up with politics in recent times.
As a father of five children, I understand the importance of family, but we seem to have lost sight of the importance of our sense of community. We need to have pride in where we live. We need to further develop community involvement. Communities can do so much that is why I got involved as a county councillor in 2004. We need to reinvigorate this sense of community at national level, re-establish pride in how we organise our society and then project a new image of Ireland to our future international partners. We can do this.
