Cllr Tony Cierans
I was appointed as Teacher of French/English in Kinsale Community School in 1990 and moved to live here in 1992. I decided to put myself forward for the 2009 Local Elections as I felt that Kinsale Town Council needed a new face and a new voice.
I was very flattered and privileged to be elected on the First Count with the third highest First Preference Vote.
I am aware that when you vote you are entrusting the future of the town to those elected. I work on a daily basis with young people and am conscious that decisions we make today will impact on the town we hand over to them.
I live in a new estate which is one of many where many first time buyers or newly arrived residents live. Many do not feel represented. I would encourage you to raise issues which concern you and your family. Feel free to contact me by e mail or telephone(after school hours!).
