I have been involved in community issues in Nenagh and surrounding area for over 20 years, including setting up a women's group, the arts, Nenagh Community Services, Nenagh Civic Alliance and other voluntary groups.
I joined the Labour Party because having worked with people on the margins, in education and socially, I believe that our wealth and State services should be available to all sections of the community, and I felt one of the ways to acheive this was by going forward for election to Nenagh Town Council, to which I was elected in 2004 and again in 2009.
