Nessa Childers was comfortably elected to the European Parliament to represent Ireland East. She is the first Ireland East / Leinster Labour MEP in 30 years since Liam Kavanagh was an MEP. Nessa travelled up and down her constituency meeting people who all saw a politician who is more than a politician : she connects with people as a person. Nessa's ability to listen and understand people makes her a channel through which the people of Leinster can have a voice. Nessa is looking forward to working with the people of Leinster in the next five years.
