LW welcome the Yes vote

Labour Women welcome the overwhelming YES vote delivered by the Lisbon referendum.



With a YES vote we can now look forward to the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty. Dail debating European matters, Commissioners being appointed, action on climate change, women being equal with men - legally binding! , children's rights being recognised and much more is the good future Lisbon will bring us.



The EU has a trackrecord of over 30 years of delivering for the women of Ireland. This will continue, as the EU pushes on with the legally binding fundamental rights.
