Branch History:

NUIM Labour Youth was originally founded as a Young Democratic Left branch in the early nineties but sadly fell apart in 2005. Re-established in 2009, the new committee has steered the branch back into the center of NUI Maynooth's political landscape and plans to become an essential part of University life, so that the branch can thrive once we have all gone.

Direct-action campaigns, recruitment drives, forums, talks, debates and socialising make up the majority of our activities and we have come to the fore on several student issues such as the 'save Pugin' campaign and the 'campaign for realistic parking', both of which are on-going.
