Carberry Calls for Anti-Social Behaviour to be Tackled in Ballycullen

Aideen Carberry, Labour local election candidate in Firhouse-Bohernabreena, has called for increased resources to tackle anti-social behaviour in the Ballycullen area.
"A recent attack in which a teenage girl recieved a cut to her face following an incident in Ballycullen has left local residents shaken and worried" Carberry said.
"The matter of anti-social behaviour in the area is something I am keenly aware of. Having been knocking on doors in the area over the last few months it is frequently raised with me on the doors. Unfortunately, there have been a number of random assaults on women in the Stocking Lane and Ballycullen areas over the last couple of years. An Garda Síochána have been doing their best to monitor the situation with increased patrols in the area. However, they must be properly resourced if they are to deal with these types of situations going forward" Carberry continued.
"The number of Gardaí working between Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda stations should be re-examined in light of the growing population in the area. Our community supports its local police force; and residents want to see it appropriately resourced" Carberry concluded.
