South Drogheda in East Meath is my home. It is where I want to settle down and start a family with my fiancé, Dan. I love the community I am from, but I know it can do better.
The 2019 local election is a turning point for the area and for my generation. This campaign is about the fight for our future. It is about delivering the kinds of high quality public services areas like East Meath should take for granted.
- Making sure that more of the money raised from property tax, car tax and commercial rates from South Drogheda in East Meath is spent on improving services and facilities in this area.
- A ‘Fair Fares’ campaign to end the injustice of Laytown commuters paying €83 more for a monthly train ticket compared to rail users in Balbriggan.
- The building of the affordable and public housing needed to address the crippling housing crisis for this generation.
- The development of affordable co-working and enterprise space to develop local business in East Meath.
