Cllr Aoife Breslin

My name is Aoife Breslin. I have been a member of Athy Town Council since 2003. I have worked in the Labour Party’s advice centre on Leinster Street as Jack Wall’s Constituency Secretary for over ten years.

I meet people of Athy on a daily basis and I know the struggles that we all have to endure to make ends meet. These are difficult and challenging times for everyone, I have seen first hand over the last number of months how the economic gains of the past decade have literally been washed away.

Athy has great potential. The people of Athy have great resilience and are proud of their town but we have been starved of investment. We need greater resources in job creation, infrastructure, education, health, planning and enforcement and in the delivery of social services and facilities. We simply seek our fair share.

I am proud of my record of public service. I have fought hard for the people of Athy and will continue to do so.
