Funding boost for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer centre

Over €89,000 in funding has been awarded to the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre by Minister for the Environment, Alan Kelly and Minister for State, Ann Phelan under the Department’s Community & Voluntary Supports & Programmes.
26 different volunteer organisations across the country will receive in total over €3.1 million under the programme.
Speaking after the announcement Labour General Election candidate, Carrie Smyth said:
“The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre plays a vital role in supporting volunteering locally and I warmly welcome the announcement of this funding.
“Volunteering programmes help communities to grow and encourage citizens to involve themselves in the development of their area.
“By supporting organisations like the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre we are empowering communities to positively affect the world around them.”
