I am the new Local Area Representative for the Palmerstown-Fonthill Local Electoral Area - which covers my native North Clondalkin, Palmerstown and parts of Lucan.
My family, originally from Ballyfermot moved to North Clondalkin in 1995 and we have been there ever since. I was educated in St. Lorcan’s BNS in Palmerstown and Moyle Park College in Clondalkin before training as a Special Needs Assistant in the Liberities. I am now working in homeless services and specialise in the provision of emergency accommodation to people experiencing homelessness. As a result of working in homeless services I am passionate about housing policy and I am a big believer in the Housing First approach.
I joined the Labour Party in 2019 and immediately got involved in the 2019 bye-election as a canvasser in Dublin Mid West, shortly after that campaign I was asked to serve as Director of Canvassing for the impending general election. I was fortunate to have been able to commit myself to the campaign on a full time basis.
My priorities for Palmerstown-Fonthill are:
- Advocating for better local services
- Improved public infrastructure
- Improved social and affordable housing
- Better amenities for our young people and our older residents
