MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD ON CYBERBULLYING, MEENAGH
Issued : Monday 10 February, 2014
Declan Meenagh, Labour Candidate for Cabra, Finglas and the Navan Road today welcome the extension granted to the deadline for the public consultation process on cyberbullying, from February 28th to March 18th. This was announced today, Monday, in conjunction with 'Safer Internet Day' in Ireland.
“Cyberbuullying is a huge issue and it is important that people have an input into the government's response to it”
Feedback from the process will directly inform the work of the Internet Content Governance Advisory Group, which was set up by Minister Pat Rabbitte in December to examine how the issue of cyberbullying and online harassment is tackled.
The consultation process is a valuable opportunity for members of the public, particularly young people, to contribute to the debate around cyberbullying.
Encourage members of the community to submit their views either via post or online at the Department's website atwww.dcenr.gov.ie.
