BUS SHELTER OUTSIDE BRADYS PUB SHANKILL

Motion: Councillor D. O’Callaghan

“That the Manager report regarding the failure of Dublin Bus to erect a bus shelter

with seating as agreed at the stop on the inward journey outside Bradys pub in

Shankill village.”

Report:

“Dublin Bus submitted a Planning Application for this shelter which was not granted

by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Co Council. One of the reasons for refusal concerned

the presence of a watermain and future maintenance of it. The Traffic Section then

met with Dublin Bus and the Water Department on site and the issue regarding the

watermain was overcome. Further to this, Dublin Bus stated that they would

resubmit the application for Planning Permission and this is being addressed at

present by them.”
