Extent of St. Farnan's Post Primary Extension Still Under Review - Stagg

Kildare North Labour Representative Emmet Stagg again contacted the Minister for Education in relation to the required Extension to St. Farnan's Post Primary School, Prosperous, which was included in 2015 Capital Plan.
The Minister previously advised Mr. Stagg that his Department had undertaken a site visit to the school in the context of the preparatory work associated with the project. Following on from this site visit the Department have commenced work on a schedule of accommodation for the required extension and will liaise directly with the school authority in the context of progressing the project through architectural planning.
Mr. Stagg stated that the extension will effectively see a doubling of the school to cater for 600 students and there is a need for additional Home Economics, Metal Work and Woodwork Rooms.
In conclusion Kildare North Labour Representative Emmet Stagg stated that given that construction of the extension is due to commence in 2018 it was critical that the accommodation requirements are worked out and that a Design Team is appointed for the project now and he indicated that he would press the Minister on this until the Design Team was in place.

9th MAY, 2017 - Stagg Calls for Design Team for St. Farnan's Post Primary Extension
Kildare North Labour Representative Emmet Stagg contacted the Minister for Education in relation to the required Extension to St. Farnan's Post Primary School, Prosperous, which was included in 2015 Capital Plan.
The Minister advised Mr. Stagg that his Department has undertaken a site visit to the school in the context of the preparatory work associated with the project. The next step involves initiating the architectural planning process for the project and his Department will be in further contact with the school in this regard.
