Extension of Dublin Bus Services to Moyglare Under Discussion

Kildare North Labour Representative Emmet Stagg has been in contact with the Chief Executive of Dublin Bus Ray Coyne in relation to the Extension of the 67 Bus Route to cover the Moyglare area of Maynooth.
Mr. Stagg stated that there are over 800 houses in the Moyglare area of Maynooth and more than 60 individuals attending St. John Of God Services. The area also covers Maynooth GAA Club and the Maynooth Education Campus is currently under construction at Moygare Hall.
In his response to Mr. Stagg the Chief Executive stated 'At Dublin Bus, our 128 Million customers are at the heart of everything we do. We value their feedback on services. Dublin Bus is working closely with the National Transport Authority on the BusConnects project and service proposals for the north side of Maynooth are under discussion. Full public consultation will take place following review of proposals'.
Welcoming the response that the extension of the service to the Moyglare area is under discussion Mr. Stagg stated that as far back as February 2014, Dublin Bus had expressed a keen interest in extending the service.
In conclusion Kildare North Labour Representative Emmet Stagg stated that he would keep pressing for the extension of the service in the interests of public transport users in the Moyglare area of Maynooth.
