Since my re-election in 2009, I have been recognised as one of the hardest working Councillors in the Balbriggan Ward. I led the charge against the placement of the proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant in in areas surrounding Lusk, Rush and the rural North County. For too long, North County Dublin was seen as an easy touch for the rest of the County to dump their waste. I called the first public meeting against the proposed Monster Sewage Plant and set in motion the powerful community campaign which ensured this monstrosity would not be landed in the middle of the communities of Lusk, Rush, Loughshinny, Man O’War, Skerries and Balbriggan
I have placed more Questions and Motions to the County Manager than any other Councillor on many issues including; housing provision, the taking in charge of estates, traffic management and community policing.
I remain as committed to our community as when I first had the privilege to be elected as a Councillor in 1985. I am proud to deliver on behalf of the people in Lusk, Rush, Loughshinny, Balbriggan and rural North County Dublin.
You may recall prior to the last election I made no promises only that I would do my very best. However, I did indicate if elected I had priorities that included the development of new community sports facilities, a new community college in Lusk, improved traffic management plans and
Some of these works have been completed and money has been secured for all the other projects.
I am currently working on other issues which will benefit our community and I will work hard to ensure these works are carried out. I continue to work with all our local organisations and community groups and this approach has proved to be beneficial for all concerned.
You can contact me with issues of importance to you and your family. If you support the work I do, please feel free to get in touch and help out if you can. If there is something I've missed out on or that you disagree on, let me know also, we are elected to listen after all.
Look forward to hearing from you
