A native of Celbridge and member of Kildare Co. Council since 2003, Kevin is married to Patricia with three grown up daughters, five grandsons and one granddaughter
Kevin previously worked in Brown Thomas in Dublin for over 30 years and took early retirement in 2003 to allow himself dedicate all his time to working on behalf of the Community. As Chairperson of the Transportation SPC Committee of Kildare Co. Council, Kevin has worked to build relationships with Dublin Bus and Irish Rail to ensure an improved service for the rapidly growing commuter population of Celbridge. He was particularly pleased at the commencement of the Kildare Route Project in 2006, a Project stalled by the Government for 6 years.
Kevin is actively involved in the local community particularly in the area of sport, having played Hurling, Football and Soccer for his native Celbridge, and remains actively involved with Celbridge Town AFC.
A full time Public Representative, Kevin is actively involved in addressing the many issues faced by working families be it in housing, education, public transport or preventing unacceptable development in the area such as at Celbridge House or the Gazebo in Castletown. To further local democracy in the area Kevin wants to see Urban District Council Status afforded to Celbridge.
Kevin was particularly pleased at the decision by the Government to acquire Batty Langley Lodge, and with the parklands transferred to the Council at Donaghcumper and the likelihood of a further 120 acres of lands to the rear of Castletown House coming into Public Ownership soon, the use of these facilities including Castletown House for the enjoyment of the people of the area is a priority for Kevin.
Kevin looks forward to serving the community of Celbridge for many years to come.
