Louise Morgan-Walsh

In June 2019, I was selected by the Labour Party as their Local Area Representative for the Nenagh Electoral Area and I enjoy working hard and representing the area as best I can. I am equally determined to continue what I had set out to do in the Local Election Campaign of 2019 and that was to be a new voice for Nenagh and surrounds and to work hard to ensure our communities thrive.

I am proud to be a representative for the Labour Party and to work with Party Leader Alan Kelly TD and Cllr Fiona Bonfield for the town of Nenagh. It is the Labour Party who has a track record of delivering in our community over the last number of years. No party can match this record. This is seen in companies locating here, the new town park, investment in Nenagh Hospital & St Conlans Nursing Home, investment in all our local schools, investment in our gas & wastewater infrastructure, investment in local clubs & organisations, investment in the Abbey Court Hotel and the old O’Connor’s site which has now been transformed. The Labour Party has been central to all of this.

I want to work on developing better services for the residents of Nenagh & the Lower Ormond Area such as the accreditation of Nenagh Town as an Autism Friendly Town and advocate in the areas of climate change, health, economic development and community engagement. I want to ensure that our community views are heard on issues that directly affect them.

In November 2019 at the Tipperary Labour Party AGM, I was elected as the new Chairperson of the Tipperary Labour Party Constituency Council.  A new committee was elected with the view of expanding membership, bringing a larger awareness to the county of the fantastic work that Labour Party members undertake each week.  I have been very committed in interacting with all the members of the Labour Party in Tipperary and I am aiming to see a lot of new faces in the party this year.
