Lucy McRoberts

I  was co-opted on to Dublin City Council in December 2012. Originally from Armagh I have lived and worked in Dublin Inner City for the past six years.

I am aware of the challenges and issues facing the Inner City and understands how essential it is that the Inner City communities and organisations receive the necessary supports from local government especially in these difficult economic times.

Dedicated to working for the community and to identifying and addressing all the local issues and concerns, my aim is to provide representation for everyone particularly the elderly, young and other vulnerable groups.

My priorities for the North Inner City include:

  • Support initiatives that encourage employment and local business in the area and provide new opportunities for the local people
  • Ensure the continued support for the delivery of quality local services and campaign against cuts to these services
  • Support regeneration schemes and encourage measures that address the issues of vacant sites and underused and run down buildings
  • Ensure that planning decisions are community based and in the best interests of the local communities
  • Protect and promote recreational amenities and play areas
  • Work to ensure cleaner streets and a greener environment by tackling illegal dumping of rubbish and providing better recycling facilities.

Should you wish to discuss any local issues with me, please feel free to contact me by emailing at [email protected] or you can contact me by phone on 0876754634
