CROSSHILL CEMETERY, CASTLECOMER IMPROVEMENTS

CLLR. SHORTALL’S MATTER OF “GRAVE” CONCERN.   

Crosshill Cemetery, Castlecomer is undergoing necessary improvements under the Minor Works Graveyard Scheme  says Cllr. Maurice Shortall. “The footpaths in particular have suffered over time and are badly in need of repair to take account of modern grave digging methods. I am glad to note that this repair works include metal re-enforcing. Also included in the schedule of works is a new  bay for green waste disposal and a complete revamp of the entrance and interior. Overall the improvements will greatly enhance the appearance of the cemetery  and will be much appreciated by all the  relatives from Castlecomer home and away and the surrounding areas who have loved ones interred in the graveyard.” Said Cllr. Shortall.
