I am a Louth County Councillor, elected May 2019 representing the Drogheda Rural local electoral area. This area includes North Drogheda, Termonfeckin, Clogherhead, Tullyallen, Monasterboice and Grangebellew. I am newly qualified (2021) as a primary school teacher.
My husband and I are from Drogheda and we moved out to the coastal town of Termonfeckin over thirteen years ago with our three children. I believe I understand the challenges of living in both a rural and urban community. One of the key areas that matter to me is having infrastructure that serves the communities we live in, be that public transport, cycle lanes, community centres, playgrounds or recreational grounds.
I was elected as a director on East Border Region, a cross border EU INTERREG funded company that supports economic activity and a member of the Regional Health Forum of Dublin North-East.
Labour's values of equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of my work both as a Councillor and an SNA. I hope to improve the lives of people in my constituency.
