I am living in the beautiful seaside village of Termonfeckin for the last 12 years with my husband Joe and our three children. I am originally from Drogheda, the largest town in Ireland. I have always believed in the Labour Party's values of equality and justice and admire the way the Party has lead the way with successful results in both recent referendums and the Presidential campaign. I joined the Labour party in 2018 and I am delighted to have been nominated as their Local Election candidate for the Drogheda Rural Electoral District.

Sustainable Tourism: Boyne Estuary Cycling - I founded this social cycling group to promote cycling as an alternative form of transport and the beautiful scenic route of the River Boyne from Termonfeckin to Drogheda.

Better Transport Links: Living in a commuter belt for Dublin and so close to Drogheda, the residents of Clogherhead and Termonfeckin are poorly serviced by an inadequate bus route. I am campaigning for a service so there are fewer barriers to work, third level education and access to medical services as is our right.

Traffic calming measures: Our villages and estates have been developed without adequate measures for road safety. I will work to rectify this issue and promote the right for pedestrians and cyclists to have safe passage on our roads.

Diversity and Inclusion: I aim to promote inclusion in our communities. Drogheda and it's environs are culturally diverse in population, social backgrounds and ethnicity and I will work to make all groups welcome.

Community events: I established the GOAL Mile in Termonfeckin. Now in its 11th year, the local community has raised funds for the humanitarian efforts of the charity, GOAL. It's important that we have other events that can bring together families and friends and I will work with community groups to promote social inclusion.

Playgrounds: The government have committed to the First 5 Whole of Government Strategy for Babies, Young Children and Families. The importance of having public play spaces for this parents and their children is paramount in the strategy. I will campaign to ensure that this element of the strategy is reflected in the Drogheda Rural electoral district.

Women and Children: As a mother of 3 children, an SNA and an Early Years student, I will be a voice for women and children in local government.
